Imagine preparing a romantic surprise for your loved one, only to find that person in the arms of somebody else.
Such a heartbreaking moment was apparently captured in a series of photos shared by Twitter user Ken Wong.
In his post, which shows him holding a bouquet of what appears to be money flowers, Wong states that he was shocked to see his girlfriend in a parking lot with another man.
“Today is my girlfriend’s birthday, so I thought of giving her a surprise. I didn’t expect to see this scene,” he wrote in his tweet’s caption.
The photos captured the woman giving the other man a tight hug while he carries her in his arms. Crushed by the pair’s PDA, the man with the camera starts breaking into tears as shown in the last two images.
Netizens have mostly expressed sympathy towards the wronged man, with some consoling him. There were also those who advised him to dump the girl while others pointed out that maybe his girlfriend was only hugging a friend.
Other social media users were skeptical, pointing out that the scene looked staged and could have been done to gain online fame. Aside from the caption, there isn’t much information on when or where this happened, although based on the screenshots, the images were apparently captured on March 29.
