‘Rick and Morty’ anime short inspired by ‘Lone Wolf and Cub’ has Shogun Morty fighting Ninja Ricks

Adult Swim has released “Rick and Morty” short “Samurai and Shogun Part 2” of “Rick and Morty” on their official YouTube channel.

About the anime: The anime is a continuation of the first short titled “Samurai & Shogun” released on March 29, 2020. The shorts, inspired by the classic Japanese tale “Lone Wolf and Cub,” follow Rick WTM-72 and Shogun Morty as they face various Ninja Ricks.

“Samurai and Shogun Part 2,” directed by Kaichi Satō, was released on Nov. 12 as part of the Adult Swim Festival 2021. It shows the conclusion of Rick’s battle to save Morty from a mob of Rick attackers, all set in feudal Japan.

The short is dubbed in Japanese with English subtitles. Its voice actors include Youhei Tadano as Rick WTM72 and Keisuke Chiba as Shogun Morty.

The current “Rick and Morty” collection of shorts also include “Rick and Morty vs. Genocider,” “Rick + Morty in the Eternal Nightmare Machine,” ”Summer Meets God (Rick Meets Evil)” and “The Great Yokai Battle of Akihabara.”
