Actor Randall Park will reportedly be joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe in the sequel to “Ant-Man”, “Ant-Man and The Wasp”.
According to Tracking Board, which first broke the news, Park is joining the cast as S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent Jimmy Woo.
Park, who plays husband and father-of-three Louis Huang in ABC’s “Fresh Off the Boat,” is set to star alongside Paul Rudd as Scott Lang in the “Ant-Man” sequel, which will be directed by Peyton Reed.
Evangeline Lilly as Hope Van Dyne, also known as the Wasp; Michael Peña as Luis; Michael Douglas as Hank Pym; David Dastmalchian as Kurt; and T.I. as Dave will all be reprising their roles.
Details about the Marvel film are being kept secret, but Rudd and Gabriel Ferrari wrote the screenplay, while Kevin Feige will serve as producer, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
First introduced in the 1956 “Yellow Claw #1,” Agent Woo is considered to be one of the few “positive” Asian-American characters to come out of the Silver Age of comic books.
“Ant-Man and the Wasp” is scheduled to land in theaters on July 6, 2018.
