Staff members of a bank in southern China fled for their lives after a huge python fell from the ceiling during an office meeting.
The incident occurred at a branch of the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China in Nanning, Guangxi region on Oct. 12, Beijing News reported.

In a surveillance video, the python is seen falling from above while the staff listens to their supervisor.
The employees manage to escape quickly, leaving the snake slithering on the floor of the VIP area.
As seen in the video, the python nearly hit a female clerk.
After receiving a call, police arrived at the scene with the Nanning Wild Animals and Plants Protection Station, which rescued the reptile.
A weight check revealed that the python, a first-class protected animal, was a little more than five kilograms (11 pounds), according to China News.
It has since been turned over to a conservation center in the region.
While no one was injured after the shocking encounter, it remains unclear how the snake managed to get into the bank’s ceiling.
Fortunately, the bank had not opened yet when the incident occurred. Regular operations commenced after.
Weibo users commented:
“It’s scary.”
“How did it get in there?”
“Great morning, it came out of the blue.”
“There should be a nest of pythons on the ceiling.”
“This bank is really good.”
