Japanese Company Now Makes $90 Pokémon Dress Shirts and They Look Pretty Awesome
By Ryan General
A new line of trendy office attire from Japan lets true Pokémon masters wear their favorite characters with pride while still dressing up like an “adult.”
Original Stitch, a Japanese men’s shirt label, has teamed up with the popular anime/video game franchise to create a brand-new line of awesome Pokémon shirts.
According to SoraNews24, the brand is reportedly offering to make custom shirts featuring any of the 151 original Pocket Monsters.
Original Stitch allows as much customization as possible with each order, meaning customers are only limited by the variety of Pokémon design options their imagination and creativity can produce.
For instance, either an entire shirt can be covered with the customer’s Pokémon pattern of choice or just the collar and cuffs can include the design for a more subtle look.
One can also choose to put just one Pocket Monster or assemble an entire team of different Pokémon, as Original Stitch lets customers combine more than one pattern on the same shirt.
The shirts, priced at 10,000 yen ($90) a piece, will officially be made available to order through the official Pokémon Shirts website in late February.
For those who can’t wait for the official launch, Original Stitch will be doing a pre-start promotion from January 26-28 featuring the first 20 characters: Pikachu, Eevee, Squirtle, Bulbasaur, Charmander, Vulpix, Geodude, Slowpoke, Fearow, Ponyta, Magikarp, Raticate, Slowbro, Pidgeot, Beedrill, Golem, Poliwag, Kakuna, Jigglypuff and Gyarados.
