Photographer R. Lee Morris wanted to bust photographers’ common complaint that the quality of their work is dependent on their equipment. Morris’s first video, “iPhone Fashion Shoot,” which he filmed five years ago with an iPhone 3GS, was intended to prove that a great picture can be taken with any camera.

His video was polarizing and many scrutinized his use of expensive lights and modifiers, which is why he decided to produce another video using just an LED flashlight. Morris wrote on Fstoppers:

“When I heard the iPhone 6s was coming out on September 25, I decided now was the best time to create a new video to prove once and for all that quality photography can be taken with any budget.”

For his shoot, Morris used simple backdrops of his house and the beach. His equipment included the iPhone 6s, a black and white foam core, LED flashlight and LED panel.
