‘Philippine Big Brother’ Contestant Giving THE NERDIEST Response to a Question is TV Gold

A new contestant on Filipino reality show “Pinoy Big Brother” is going viral for his complicated response to an otherwise simple question during his brief Q&A with the show’s hosts.
PBB, which is the official Philippines’ version of the popular CBS show “Big Brother,” has recently added eight more adults to the existing contestant lineup for the show’s “Camp Star Hunt” event.
One of the new additions was 19-year-old Wakim Regalado, a topnotcher student from Iloilo city who immediately captured the viewers’ attention on his first day.
Before officially entering the Big Brother house, Regalado, dubbed as the “Gifted Go-Getter from Iloilo,” was subjected to the customary interview by hosts Toni Gonzaga and Kim Chiu.
“What are the chances of you winning here in this competition?” Gonzaga asked Regalado.
In response to the simple question, the contestant gave an elaborate, mathematical response that left the hosts momentarily dumbfounded.
“This is just pure conjecture po. But we should differentiate the probability and the possibility. So, assuming that there are 64 competitors wherein there could only be one winner, then that could leave me with siguro 1.5625 possibilities. But not all possibilities have the same weight. So, the probability can change based on the external factors,” he explained.
Apparently realizing his unnecessarily long, but, accurate answer, he quickly then segued to a more “showbiz” response:
“But you know what Toni, the fact that I’m here makes me feel like a winner. And the fact that I can bring forth my advocacy makes me feel like a winner already.”
Footage of the entertaining exchange soon went viral on Philippine social media, with many predicting there will be more gems like this to come from the Ateneo de Manila University freshman.
