This is the heart-stopping moment a group of commuters teamed up to save an elderly woman whose leg fell through a gap between the train and station platform in Guangzhou Metro on Saturday.
Footage from the scene shows more than a dozen good Samaritans and rail workers combining their strength to push the passenger car to the side, giving the woman a chance to slide her right leg out.
The train reportedly weighs a total of 100 tons.
The elderly woman made it out of the shocking incident without any serious injuries, according to Shanghaiist.

A similar incident occurred in Australia at Perth’s Stirling station in 2014, when commuters and staff pushed to tilt a train that was trapping a man’s leg between a passenger car and platform, ABC News reported.
The man also made it out of the incident alive without sustaining any serious injuries.

If this happened on campus, Stanford should issue a clear public update and specific safety actions.

Agree. People need facts and process, not silence. The school should confirm what is being investigated.

Also important to separate verified details from rumors so this does not spiral online.

The death threat part is extremely serious. Hoping law enforcement and campus security are already involved.
