Video: Paolo Montalbán shares emotional first reunion with ‘Cinderella’ co-star Brandy after 24 years

Filipino American actor Paolo Montalbán recently posted a picture and clip of his first reunion with “Cinderella” co-star Brandy since they last saw each other 24 years ago.

The reunion: Montalbán, 48, fulfilled his fans’ request to post a proper picture of his reunion with Brandy, 42, on Christmas Day on Instagram, as well as a short clip of last month’s meeting, which included a hug..

  • Some of you asked for a proper pic of the Cinderella/Prince mini-reunion last month. So here it is,” the actor wrote. “The clip is a stocking stuffer of the actual moment @brandy and I saw each other for the first time in 24 years.”
  • Montalbán and Brandy reunited at the Second Stage Theater’s annual gala in New York last month to honor Debra Martin Chase, who was one of the executive producers of their 1997 musical fantasy TV film “Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Cinderella.”.
  • In another video of their reunion, which Montalbán posted last month, Chase can be heard saying, “And they look amazing! I love them so much. They were like 16 [Brandy] and 20 [Montalban, at the time of filming] and now they’re so adult… I’m so proud of you as people. Really, I’m so proud of you as human beings.”

A diverse cast: “Cinderella” went down in history for casting Brandy as the first Black Disney princess in the titular role playing opposite Montalbán’s Prince Charming. The two were part of a diverse cast which included Whoopi Goldberg, Whitney Houston and Bernadette Peters.
