Olivia Rodrigo visits White House to tell young people COVID-19 vaccinations are ‘good 4 u’

Olivia Rodrigo appeared at the White House press briefing to help promote COVID-19 vaccinations to younger people on July 14.
Instagram interaction: President Joe Biden’s administration will work with influencers, celebrities and teenage ambassadors in an effort to reach out to the younger generation, reported NBC News.
- Biden shared a picture of himself on the POTUS Instagram account, calling for help in encouraging young people to get vaccinated.
- Rodrigo commented on the post, saying, “I’m in! See you tomorrow at the White House.”
- The presidential account replied to her comment with, “You bet!”
Vaccination videos: The young star gave a short speech at the White House press briefing and will be recording videos to spread the message, according to The Washington Post.
- “I am beyond honored and humbled to be here today to help spread the message about the importance of youth vaccination,” she said.
- Rodrigo stated in an Instagram video shared by POTUS that getting the vaccine was about protecting yourself, friends and family.
Reactions: Twitter users responded to Bloomberg White House reporter Jennifer Epstein’s post commending Rodrigo for participating in the campaign.
- One fan replied with references to Rodrigo’s songs saying, “Good for her, because it’s ‘brutal out here.'”
- “I love this. She’s friends with Maisy Biden & did a lot of GOTV work in 2020 [even] though she was only 17 and couldn’t vote. Thankfully she’s 18 now & on the Biden Harris train!” wrote one user.
- Some commenters shouted out Biden using Rodrigo’s lyrics and referred to the young version of the president as a “hottie.”
