The New York Police Department (NYPD) is now asking the public to help identify a man who was recently caught on camera trying to take upskirt photos of women while riding the subway.
The man in the picture above is being accused of “unlawful surveillance,” the official term for taking upskirt pictures of women, while riding the 1 train route at around 4:30 p.m. on June 8 in New York City.
He allegedly “put his cellular phone underneath the 28 year-old female victim’s skirt while on board a northbound ‘1’ train approaching the 215 Street subway station. Once the train arrived at 215 Street, the individual fled,” according to Gothamist.
Those who have information that could help identify the suspect, who is believed to be approximately 20-30 years old, may call NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or at 1-888-57-PISTA (74782) for Spanish speaking tips.
People can also send their tips or any leads to the Crime Stoppers’ website at WWW.NYPDCRIMESTOPPERS.COM or by texting them to 274637 (CRIMES) and proceed by entering TIP577.
