Indonesian singer-songwriter NIKI recently announced several tour stops in Asia as part of her “NICOLE” world tour.
Announced via social media on Sunday, the “High School in Jakarta” singer shared dates and venues for the Asia leg of “NICOLE,” her first world tour.
Part of the concert circuit will include performances at 88rising’s upcoming Head in the Clouds Jakarta and Head in the Clouds Manila music festivals.
Ticket sales will go live on NIKI’s website this week.
The dates and venues of the tour’s stops in Asia are as follows
  • Dec. 3 in Jakarta, Indonesia | Head in the Clouds, Community Park PIK2
  • Dec. 4 in Jakarta, Indonesia | Head in the Clouds, Community Park PIK2
  • Dec. 6 in Singapore | Star Theater
  • Dec. 8 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia | Zepp
  • Dec. 9 in Manila | Head in the Clouds, SM Festival Grounds Parañaque City

NIKI’s world tour started last month in Vancouver. She is slated to perform in Nashville, Tennessee, on Tuesday and will conclude in Los Angeles on Oct. 22. NextShark reviewed the Seattle stop of her tour and likened it to a party with close friends, particularly praising her authenticity on stage: “Risking mawkishness, she transcends from merely being a performer onstage at another tour stop to a storyteller who makes us reflect and draw out our own stories.”

The name of her tour draws from the title of her recently released album, which features prerelease songs such as “High School in Jakarta,” “Before” and “Oceans and Engines.” The music videos for this trio of tracks tell one narrative and create the short film “But I’m Letting Go.”

In April, NIKI made history as the first Indonesian artist to perform at Coachella, where she was joined by fellow 88rising stars such as Jackson Wang, BIBI, MILLI, Rich Brian and 2NE1 member CL, to name a few. NIKI was initially slated to perform at August’s Head in the Clouds at the Rose Bowl in California but dropped out after testing positive for COVID-19.
