The future is finally here. Anyone who fell in love with the classic “Back to the Future” film series will know that October 21, 2015 is a day that will make history. It is the date that Marty McFly and Doctor Emmett Brown inputted in the DeLorean time machine as they traveled back to the future in the 1989 film sequel.
“Back to the Future II” made a series of predictions about what the world would look like after decades of transformation by science and technology. They nailed at least one prediction today — Nike revealed its first real self-lacing Nike Mags in New York City.
Even more, the first man to wear them was none other than Marty McFly, a.k.a. Michael J. Fox, who wore them last on this exact day in the film.

The first pair was delivered as a gift to Fox.

The sneakers are only available in limited edition through an auction, according to the Nike website.
More details for the actual auction will be posted by spring of 2016 — so yes, you will have to wait even longer before you are allowed to fight for your own pair with your hard earned money.
However, proceeds from the auction will go directly to the Michael J. Fox Foundation to fund research for Parkinson disease.
