Top HK Singer to Cook For 700 Guests at Michelin Dinner

While Hong Kong superstar Nicholas Tse is considered internationally as a very talented singer and actor, not many are aware that he is also a terrific chef.
In fact, his skill will be showcased at the upcoming Michelin Dinner on Nov. 11, where Tse was invited as a guest cook for over 700 lucky people, AsiaOne reported. Seven other international chefs, six of whom are recognized by the Michelin Guide, will also be preparing dinner at the event. The 36-year-old celebrity, who also hosts a food magazine show, was invited to be honored as the first ever “Friend of Michelin.”
“Michelin is indeed delighted to salute the positive contribution Nicholas Tse is making through his work,” Michelin Guide said in a statement on Friday.
As the host of his globe-trotting program, Tse tries great international cuisine and unique dishes from different cultures, while also creating his own take on the recipes.
“It is a recognition in a new field that I’ve just started exploring the past few years,” Tse said, saying it was cool to be included in the dinner.
Tse is expected to speak about the Chinese culinary scene, sharing the stage with Michelin Guide’s International Director Michael Ellis. The event, which will be held at Studio City, Macau, is co-organised by Michelin Guide along with Robert Parker Wine Advocate, a consumer’s guide to fine wine. This Gala Dinner is one of the highlights of the first Michelin Dining Series organized in Hong Kong and Macau throughout 2016 and 2017.
