Netflix Has an Open Casting Call for ‘Claudia Kishi’ in ‘The Baby-Sitters Club’
Netflix is holding an open casting call for their upcoming 10-part series of “The Baby-Sitters Club”, based on the novels by Ann M. Martin.
The series is about a group of friends who live in a fictional Connecticut town and run a local baby-sitting club as they deal with coming of age and personal life issues.
The specific role of the casting call is for that of Claudia Lynn Kishi, the creative and trendy 12-year-old vice-president of the baby-sitters club who is also of Japanese descent.
The casting description reads as follows:
“Claudia Kishi – female, 12-years-old, Japanese American. Claudia can be a bit of a dreamer with her head in the clouds, the result of which is that she’s not the greatest student. She’s ahead of the curve level cool and always arty, with fashionable clothes, a friend and neighbor of Kristy and Mary Anne. Claudia went through a phase where she “decided she’d rather look like a Barbie than play with one.” Even her bedroom is a cool mess, filled with paintings, collages and clippings, and everyone agrees it’s the perfect meeting place for the newly formed Baby-Sitters Club – Series Regular”
Those who feel they fit this description are urged to email their photo, resume, age, where you are based, birthday and parent/guardian contact info to [email protected] by Monday, May 20th 2019.
According to Project Casting, filming for the “The Baby Sitters Club” will take place in Vancouver, Canada, and actors must be eligible to work there as well.
