89-Year-Old Grandma Attends Granddaughter’s Wedding as a Bridesmaid, Steals the Show

The saying “age is just a number” was proven by Betty Govern a.k.a Nana Betty, who was invited to her granddaughter’s wedding as a bridesmaid despite being 89 years old. While no one knew what to expect, the results were spectacular.
Christine Quinn, the bride, told The Huffington Post that Nana Betty is one of her best friends so it was a no-brainer to have her as a bridesmaid.
“She asked me about 10 times, ‘Are you sure?’ and ‘Why would you want an old lady in your bridal party? A few times she even said ‘All of your bridesmaids are young and pretty, why would you want me?'”
“She had the entire wedding party laughing with her words of wisdom and funny comments throughout the day.”
“You’re only as old as you feel and I feel young today,” Nana Betty said.
