Pakistani ‘Human Owl’ Hopes His Insane Neck Will Get Him in a Hollywood Movie

Meet Muhammad Sameer, a Pakistani teenager dubbed by the internet as “human owl” boy for being a real head-turner.
The 14-year-old from Karachi, the capital of the Pakistani province of Sindh, has an incredibly flexible neck, allowing him to literally twist his neck 180 degrees, much like an owl.
Sameer strongly believes his neck flexibility is his ticket to Hollywood. According to the Daily Mail, he hopes his talent will help him land a role in a movie.
“I would have been six or seven when I saw an actor in a Hollywood horror movie turning his head to look behind him. It fascinated me. I started practicing for it and within few months, I was able to it,” Sameer was quoted as saying.
“My mother slapped me when she saw me doing this and told me never to do it again as I might end up hurting my neck but with time she realized that I’m God gifted,” he added. “My dream is to work like that actor in Hollywood horror movies.”
Unfortunately, life hasn’t always been easy for Sameer. He had to drop out of school and start working at an early age to support his family after his 49-year-old father fell ill.
“Sameer’s father was working in a textile mill. But he had to stop working after he suffered heart strokes twice in a year. Since then he not keeping well and the whole responsibility of the family came on Sameer’s shoulders. He is only a kid but we have no other option. I wanted him to study and make a name for himself but destiny had something else in store,” Rukhsana Khan, Sameer’s 45-year-old mother, said.
The teen is now working as part of the dance group Dangerous Boys, a nine-member group that performs throughout Karachi.
Sameer earns around £6 ($7) to £10 ($13) for every show, or roughly around £100 ($131) to £120 ($157) every month.
“I work so that I can support my family,” the boy said. “I don’t want that due to lack of resources my four sisters do not have to quit studies.”
Sameer admitted that he’s been practicing his other talents as well to help him land a role in Hollywood.
“I am working on my dance skills, gymnastic stunts and acting skills as well in order to find better work opportunities to support my family and fulfil my dream,” he said. “I hope to show my talent in big screens someday.”
It’s really heartwarming to see teenagers today becoming more dependable when it comes to taking care of their loved ones. Ma Xinyang, a 13-year-old student from Heilongjiang Province, China dedicated her life to look out for her unconscious father.
