Immersed in the comforts of a luxurious lifestyle, a 22-year-old Datuk has easily attracted the attention of Malaysian social media.
Muhammad Saiful Muhamad Ali received the Darjah Indera Mahkota Pahang award in 2015, which granted the Datuk title.
According to SAYS, “Datuk” is a traditional Malay honorific title commonly used in Malaysia, Indonesia and Brunei. Today, it may be obtained through historic feats and outstanding achievements in entertainment and sports, among other considerations.
Much of the hype over Muhammad Saiful Muhamad Ali’s life started last year, when the video of his 21st birthday celebration emerged on Facebook.
In the six-minute video, he is first seen aboard a private jet, clinking martini glasses with a man presumed to be his father. He then descended to ride a Rolls Royce that would take him to his party venue. There, he was entertained by music and sexy dance performances, among other acts.
The video has been viewed over 360,000 times as of this writing. Netizens praised the grand birthday celebration, with some calling it “ridiculously good” and “mind-blowing.”
As per Ali’s Facebook profile, he is a director of multiple businesses, including car washes, convenience stores, scrap metal and a recording studio, The Star noted. He shares car photos on Instagram.
Meanwhile, his personal interests appear to be in entertainment according to his Facebook bio (via Free Malaysia Today):
“Acting And Singing Has Been My Passion … Tho It Cant Be Out Now But Soon I Will Fulfill My Wishes.”

If this happened on campus, Stanford should issue a clear public update and specific safety actions.

Agree. People need facts and process, not silence. The school should confirm what is being investigated.

The death threat part is extremely serious. Hoping law enforcement and campus security are already involved.
