Moron Tries to Impress Girls By Messing With Sleeping Panda, Immediately Regrets It

The man, who’s said to be in his 20s, entered the panda enclosure at the Nanchang Zoo in China after climbing over a four-foot fence and jumping over a 10-foot-deep ditch, according to SCMP. From there, he approached Mei Ling, a 264 pound 12-year-old giant panda who was sleeping at the time.

Footage captured by CCTV shows the man approaching the panda and touching it’s head before suddenly getting tackled by Mei Ling. From there, the two wrestled until the man got pinned to the ground. Fortunately, the man managed to free himself after about a minute and escaped unharmed.

While he suffered no injuries, witnesses say his pants were badly ripped from Mei Ling’s claws and teeth. The zoo’s manager told media that the man was lucky that Mei Ling was only playing with him, or else he could’ve been seriously injured.

“The young man left the zoo right after he escaped and we could not get in touch with him,” Kuang Huaming, the deputy head of zoo management, told ABC News.

Hopefully the man has learned an important lesson in this whole ordeal: don’t mess with pandas!
