A female gang member was arrested by Fresno Police in California for illegal possession of firearms, but netizens are accusing the “hot gangster chick” for stealing their hearts instead.
The 20-year-old felon was identified as Mirella Ponce and a member of the “Tiny Rascal Gang,” according to police.
According to the Daily Mail, Ponce is one of the 10,000 members of the California-based gang that consists mostly of Cambodian-American members.
Ponce’s car was pulled over at the 2500 block of East White Avenue in Fresno, California on Monday after police found a loaded gun in her vehicle along with her infant child as well as two fellow gang members.
The female suspect was eventually arrested on two felony charges and the Fresno Police Department posted her mugshot on Facebook, according to the Fresno Bee.
The Facebook post went viral, garnering almost 3,000 shares as social media users commented on the mugshot, saying “the only crime she committed was stealing my heart,” “She’s beautiful tho that highlight poppin,” and “Free this hot gangster chick” among others.
In addition, the police also recovered a purple gun from Ponce, which netizens cheerfully reacted to saying, “I don’t know what’s cuter, her or this gun.”
Police charged Ponce for carrying a concealed firearm and carrying a stolen firearm. Even when Ponce’s bail amount reached $50,000 for each charge, a Facebook user still offered to cover the amount saying, “How much the bail is I’ll pay it.”
Ponce becomes the latest addition of photogenic arrested suspects including the Russian student involved in a multi-million dollar tax scam, and the Korean starlet who was arrested for marijuana possession.
