A female customer of a Chinese restaurant in Macomb County, Michigan was allegedly so upset with her food that she assaulted the establishment’s owner, biting his ear off in the process.
According to Detroit local news platform WXYZ, 24-year-old Jade Anderson was arrested after causing injury to the male owner of China 1 Restaurant in Mt. Clemens on Thursday night.
Anderson reportedly walked into the restaurant at around 9:40 p.m. to complain to the owner about her order.
When the victim’s son tried to translate what she was saying to his parents, Anderson suddenly pushed him and then threw her food on the floor.
She then began assaulting the female owner before her husband stepped.
When the male owner started pushing her out of the store, Anderson bit the man on the ear, detaching a part of it, Macomb Daily reports.
The owner’s son can be heard in his frantic 911 call reporting the crime as it was happening:
“There’s a violent woman over here hitting my mom,” the son said. “She also hit me.”
“Who is she?” the 911 operator asks.
“I don’t know. I’m scared. Can you please come? She’s fighting us right now,” he responded.
Police arrested Anderson while the unnamed male victim was rushed to the hospital for treatment.
Deputies said the unruly customer even left a small child home alone when she went to the restaurant. The authorities turned the unharmed child over to a responsible adult while Anderson was detained at the Macomb County Jail.
Anderson, who was arraigned on charges of assault with intent to maim and assault, was given a $20,000 cash/surety bond and is scheduled for court on July 11.
