Meet the ‘Sexiest Asian Man’ of 2017 Who Dethroned Zayn Malik

Indian actor Shahid Kapoor was named the “Sexiest Asian Man” of the year by British newspaper Eastern Eye.
He emerged as the winner after a voting period participated by millions worldwide.
“I would like to thank everyone who voted for me. I am humbled by the desirable tag,” Kapoor told the Eastern Eye (via The Hindustan Times).
“I believe sexy is not only to do with the physical, but as much to do with the mental perspective on life. This one is for all those fans who have loved and supported me.”
The Bollywood star follows a strict diet and gym routine, which includes bench press, planks, side planks, pull-ups, push-ups and sumo dead-lifts, The Times of India noted. He also does cardio exercises and some yoga.
As a vegetarian, his daily diet consists of brown rice, paneer, soy, tofu, fruits, green leafy vegetables and amino-rich food.
Asjad Nazir, founder of the annual list, cited Kapoor’s growing influence as a “family man” behind his win.
“Apart from showing off his impressive versatility as an actor and regularly delighting female fans with his chiselled physique, the handsome actor has won the hearts of fans with his devotion to his wife and young child,” he said.
“Being a devoted family man has not only made him even more appealing to women, but also a generation of young men who look up to him,” Nazir added.
Kapoor starred in Bollywood films such as “Rangoon,” “Udta Punjab” and “Shaandaar.” He has at least two movies releasing in 2018, including “KHATA-Kaash Humse Na Hoti” and “Batti Gul Meter Chalu.”
