Max recently announced the official “Warrior” podcast, led by Lisa Ling and Hoon Lee, which will debut on Thursday.
About the announcement: On June 22, Max took to social media platforms such as YouTube to share the official trailer for the upcoming podcast.
In the video, Ling, a journalist and news contributor for CBS News, and Lee, who plays Wang Chao in “Warrior,” talk about what fans of the Max series can expect.
Ling, who describes herself as a “super fan” of “Warrior,” shares that a new podcast episode will be released after every new episode of “Warrior” Season 3 premieres.
“We’re going to be talking to the creators, the directors and cast of the drama, the romance, the underground economies and the criminal organizations, and of course, the incredible martial arts,” she divulges.
“And we’ll also talk about how the show incorporates real, historical events that affected Chinese immigrants at the turn of the century,” Lee says.
“In every episode, we’ll celebrate Bruce Lee’s life and legacy and the way he changed Hollywood forever,” he continues.
About “Warrior”: The martial arts crime drama TV series, which is set in the late 1870s, follows Chinese martial arts prodigy Ah Sahm (played by Andrew Koji) as he searches for his sister in San Francisco.
In addition to Koji and Hoon Lee, the series’ cast includes Olivia Cheng, Jason Tobin, Dianne Doan and Joe Taslim, among others.
The show is based on an original concept by the late Hong Kong and American martial artist Bruce Lee and is executive produced by his daughter, Shannon Lee. Its first season premiered in April 2019, while its second season premiered in October 2020.
“Warrior” Season 3 is set to premiere on Thursday.
