Marie Kondo, known by many as “the cleanest person in the world,” stars in a Netflix show set to debut on January 1, 2019.
The show, titled “Tidying Up with Marie Kondo,” features homeowners whose homes have been filled with disorganized, hoarded objects. Kondo visits these residents and helps lift their spirits by organizing, cleaning and clearing out their cluttered spaces.

The homeowners featured on the show often have emotional connections with the objects they save; the trailer includes several moments sure to tug on the heartstrings, including one woman speaking through tears about her difficulties letting go of her stuff after losing her husband years prior.

According to Deadline, the show will run for eight episodes and will be produced by “The Jackal Group’s Gail Berman, Joe Earley and Hend Baghdady; and Marie Kondo, Takumi Kawahara, and Bianca Barnes-Williams.”
