Marie Kondo Sparks Joy by Throwing First Pitch at LA Angels Game
By Bryan Ke
Tidying expert and best-selling author Marie Kondo sparked joy during the ceremonial first pitch at the Los Angeles Angels vs. Baltimore Orioles game on Saturday.
Kondo was invited by Japan Airlines which presented this year’s celebration of Japan Day at the Angel Stadium of Anaheim (also known as “The Big A”) on July 27 in Anaheim, California.
The cultural celebration featured entertainment for families, including activities such as “taiko drumming, traditional dances, origami, ikebana (Japanese flower arrangements), tea ceremony, and a kimono fashion show,” according to an official announcement.
Shohei Ohtani, Japanese professional baseball pitcher and designated hitter for the Los Angeles Angels, also made a special guest appearance.
