A man who ignored a warning to stop smoking was met with the shock of his life when a gas station worker literally blasted a fire extinguisher in his face to put out the cigarette.

The incident, which was captured on surveillance camera in Hangzhou, Zhejiang province in China, happened on March 24 when the unnamed man pulled out of a gas station after filling up his car. However, he suddenly stopped his car at the entrance to light up a cigarette.

An attendant of the gas station quickly ran to the side of the man’s car and warned him not to smoke as it could be dangerous, but the man did not heed the worker’s order. The worker then returned to the car, but this time with a fire extinguisher in his hands. Without hesitation, he then opened fire with the extinguisher into his face, according to Shanghaiist.

The man in the car came out of the car to attack the worker, only be to sprayed once more. Luckily, police were able to put the suspect into custody, where he was detained for three days.
