Shin Lim, the 26-year-old self-taught Canadian-American close-up magician, has been crowned as the winner of “America’s Got Talent” season 13 with a grand prize of $1 million.

Lim, who is ethnically Han Chinese, was born in British Columbia, Canada to Singapore-born parents. He was a self-taught magician and a self-proclaimed “Sleight of Hand Artist,” according to his website.
The close-up magician was crowned winner after a two-hour finale special for “America’s Got Talent” season 13 by show host Tyra Banks.
He managed to last long enough to win the grand prize against nine other finalists on Wednesday’s finale. Lim won the most viewer votes after his live performance show on Tuesday at the finals, according to USA Today.

“Thank you so much to everyone. I love you all so much […] I can’t speak right now,” Lim, who was overwhelmed with emotions, said after Banks announced that the “sexiest magician on the planet” is this season’s winner.
Aside from winning the title and the $1 million grand prize, Lim is also set to headline an “America’s Got Talent” show in Las Vegas, Nevada that is scheduled sometime in November, AsAm News reported.
