With lots of cheering and chanting, audience members who attended TCL Chinese Theatre’s recent screening of Indian action drama film “RRR” experienced a level of energy that would put concert venues to shame.
Clips from the Los Angeles screening on Monday, which reportedly sold out in just 98 seconds, have already gone viral.
Senior Music Writer at Variety Chris Willman posted a video on Twitter showcasing a “dance party” which erupted toward the front of the theater during a dance sequence backed by the film’s hit song “Naatu Naatu.”
As of Friday, the video has already garnered over 1.2 million views.

Meanwhile, Twitter user @LandonSDu posted a clip taken while in the middle of the crowd. The short video, which has received over 113,000 views, features thrilled theatergoers showing off their best moves while others around them wave flags.

“RRR,” which has amassed over $150 million worldwide, was theatrically released on March 25, 2022. On Tuesday, “Naatu Naatu” won a Golden Globe for Best Original Song.
