Sherwin shouted, “Leave him alone!” while running to the victim, who was on the ground with his fallen bicycle. The mugger backed away at the sight of Sherwin.
The victim can be heard pleading to Sherwin to call the police. The streamer dialed the authorities, and the mugger tried to get back at his victim.
A group of men arrived to help. While Sherwin explained what had happened, the suspect fled.
Reddit user HerbertGoon shared a one-minute clip of the live stream on the subreddit r/PublicFreakout. The post has already amassed over 69,000 upvotes.
The full version of the video was uploaded to Sherwin’s YouTube channel. In the video, the victim can be heard calling the attack “attempted murder” since the suspect allegedly threatened him with a knife.
Sherwin took to Twitter to thank his viewers and followers for their support, Dexerto reported.
