Jordanian taekwondo Olympian Julyana Al-Sadeq wins hearts online for resemblance to Lady Gaga

A taekwondo athlete representing Jordan in the Tokyo Olympics has captured people’s attention for her physical resemblance to Lady Gaga.
A star reborn: Julyana Al-Sadeq, 26, first drew social media attention on Monday during her match in the Taekwondo Women’s Welterweight 57-67 kilograms (125.6-147.7 pounds) category against Brazil’s Milena Titoneli, reported the Independent.
- Lady Gaga fan site Gaga Daily posted an image of the Olympian on Twitter, asking its followers: “Why is Lady Gaga at the Olympics?”
- The tweet generated thousands of likes and retweets from users who agree that she does look like the “A Star is Born” actress.
- Other users shared Al-Sadeq’s photos, pointing out the similarities between the two.
- “Apparently, Grammys and Oscar are not enough! She needs an Olympic medal too!” a user wrote.
- “Queen the ‘O’ in EGOT doesn’t stand for Olympic medalist, lol. Now I definitely think you’re a world champion, but you gotta let others win some awards too!” another chimed in.
- Gaga Daily shared the same image of Al-Sadeq in another tweet along with other Lady Gaga lookalikes from different fields, asking: “What can’t Lady Gaga do?”
The Jordanian athlete, who has previously won gold medals in the 2018 Asian Games and the 2017 Asian Indoor Martial Arts Games, ended her Olympic bid on Monday after losing to her competitor in Round 16.
