After months of speculation, Kumail Nanjiani and Don Lee (Ma Dong-Seok) have been officially confirmed as cast members of the upcoming Marvel Studios project “Eternals.”
Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige announced the film’s entire cast during Marvel’s Comic-Con presentation at the Hall H arena in the San Diego Convention Center on Saturday.
Chinese film director Chloé Zhao has been tapped to helm the superhero ensemble film, which has a star-studded line-up that includes Hollywood A-listers Salma Hayek and Angelina Jolie. Hayek will be playing the team’s leader Ajak, while Jolie has been cast as Thena.  
 
Nanjiani, known for his hit film “The Big Sick” and his role as Dinesh Chugtai in HBO’s “Silicon Valley”, has been cast to play the sword-wielding Kingo Sunen.

Lee, who starred in the international hit Korean film “Train to Busan”, will be playing the role of Gilgamesh, aka “The Forgotten One.”

The movie will also star Lauren Ridloff (“The Walking Dead”) as Makkari, Richard Madden (“Game of Thrones”) as Ikaris, Brian Tyree Henry (“Atlanta”) as Phastos, and Lia McHugh (“American Woman”) as Sprite. 
“Eternals” will be part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe phase four and is set to hit theaters in November 2020.
