Kep1er made their Japanese debut Tuesday with the music video “Wing Wing.”
Their first Japanese single “Fly-Up” will be released on Sept. 7. While not a domestic music project, this most recent music video is a follow up to their June summer comeback EP “Doublast,” which was led by the title track “Up!”

The girl group will make their KCON debut performance at KCON LA 2022 this month joined alongside other K-pop acts such as such as Ateez, Enhypen, Itzy, Lightsum, Loona, Nmixx, P1Harmony, StayC, Stray Kids, TO1 and their fellow “Queendom” Season 2 contestant group and winner WJSN.
Kep1er debuted as a nine-member group consisting of former CLC member and current co- leader Yujin, Japanese co-leader Mashiro, Chinese member Xiaoting, Chaehyun, Dayeon, Japanese member Hikaru, Huening Bahiyyih, Youngeun, and Yeseo. The group is jointly managed by Wake One Entertainment and Swing Entertainment and was formed from the final lineup of the Mnet idol reality competition show “Girls Planet 999,” which brought 99 contestants to vie for a spot in the group. K-pop veteran idols Sunmi and Girls Generation’s Tiffany Young served as mentors.
They officially debuted last January with their mini-album “First Impact,” led by the title track music video “WA DA DA.”
In other Kep1er news, member Shen Xiaoting went viral this week after her stunning ballroom dance performance at the Idol Star Athletic Championships (ISAC), showcasing her background as a former world champion ballroom dancer with over 50 trophies to her name.
