Korean Woman from America Wins Miss Korea 2019

This year’s Miss Korea pageant has chosen its winner: 20-year-old Kim Sae-yeon.
Kim, who is from the United States, was crowned as the winner of Miss Korea 2019 that was held at the Grand Peace Hall in Kyung Hee University, on Thursday July 11, according to Korea Times.
The 63rd Miss Korea beauty pageant, which was hosted by Hankook Ilbo, was live-streamed online on both YouTube and Facebook.
Judges of the contest consist of personalities from different industries such as fashion, music, and entertainment.
 
Actresses as well as former Miss Koreas were also present at the event.
 
Kim, a graphics designer, was able to beat 31 other competitors at the event where the runner ups were 22-year-old Shin Yoon-ah from Seoul; Lee Hye-ju, 21, from Daegu; Shin Hye-ji, 23, from Seoul; Woo Hee-jun, 25, from Busan and Ulsan; Lee Da-hyun, 22, from Seoul; and Lee Ha-nuey, 23, from Daegu.
