South Korean actor Kim Sae-ron, 21, apologized on Thursday for drunk driving the day before and will be withdrawing from her upcoming K-drama series “Trolley.”
At around 8 a.m. on Wednesday, Kim was arrested by Gangnam police for driving under the influence after several citizens reported that her vehicle was “noticeably swerving on the road” in Cheongdam-dong, Gangnam-gu, in Seoul. She also reportedly crashed into a structure. Kim reportedly refused to have her blood alcohol content measured at the scene and requested to undergo a blood test at the hospital. She was taken to the Gangnam police station where was booked under charges of drunk driving.
“Kim Sae-ron has been booked under the charges of drunk driving this morning. After the blood is drawn, we will request the National Forensic Service to check the alcohol concentration in the blood,” a source from the Gangnam police station stated per Soompi.
