K-pop soloist Kang Daniel released his fourth mini-album “REALIEZ,” featuring the English-language single “Wasteland,” on Monday.
About the album: The new mini-album contains five songs in total: “Wasteland” — Kang’s first official solo English-language song release — “SOS,” “Supernova,” “Liar” and “Dreaming.” Daniel co-wrote both “Wasteland” and “SOS,” which are accompanied by a “Mad Max”-inspired video teaser and music video. respectively.
“The album is about the process of realizing the truth hidden in lies on the theme of a dystopian world in a cinematic form. There are a total five songs, including ‘Wasteland,’ in this album and it’s a story of gaining enlightenment through uncovering truth from lies and a story about the realization to face our whole self,” Kang told Billboard.
“REALIEZ” is a follow-up from last year’s repackaged album “The Story: RETOLD.”
What’s next: Coming off of his recent “FIRST PARADE World Tour,” the KONNECT Entertainment CEO is slated for two encore shows at Korea University’s Hwajeong Tiger Dome on July 1 and 2. He will also perform at the upcoming K-pop Stars Festival in Poland.
