Charlie Puth and BTS’s Jungkook released their collaboration track “Left and Right” on Friday.
After accidentally confirming rumors of their collaboration in an interview at the iHeart Radio Wango Tango concert earlier this month, Puth and Jungkook released a fun music video that serves as one track on Puth’s upcoming third album, “Charlie.”

This is not the first time Puth and Jungkook have collaborated. In 2018, the two performed “We Don’t Talk Anymore” together at the MBC Plus X Genie Music Awards, and Puth later joined BTS in a performance of “Fake Love.”
“Left and Right” is Puth’s third song in 2022, following tracks “Light Switch” in January and “That’s Hilarious” in April. Puth said “Left and Right” would be released if it reached 500,000 pre-orders, which was easy work for BTS’ fandom, Army.
The pair’s project came only a week after BTS’ announcement of their temporary group break to focus on individual projects, a move that caused concern for the head of Korea Singer’s Association given the band’s influence as “the strongest cultural soft power in Korea.”
