This inspirational Christmas ad about a little girl and a man on the moon is a sure tearjerker.

This inspirational Christmas ad about a little girl and a man on the moon is a sure tearjerker. Directed by British retailer
“The Man on the Moon” is a story of a young girl, Lily, on Earth who yearns to connect with an old man who is living by himself on the desolate moon. Her gesture in the ad touches upon the subject of loneliness that elderly people often face in society today.
The ad creatively illustrates the meaningfulness of finding a special gift and also encourages others to connect and reach out to one another in the upcoming holiday season. In partnership with charity Age UK, John Lewis will be donating proceeds from selected Christmas merchandise sales to the organization.
Craig Inglis, customer director at John Lewis, said:
“We hope it inspires people to find really special gifts for their loved ones and through our partnership with Age UK, raise awareness of the issue of loneliness among older people and encourages others to support in any way they can.”
The ad cost $10.5 million and took seven months to produce.  The song featured in the video, “Half the World Away,” was originally written by Oasis and performed by Aurora.

If this happened on campus, Stanford should issue a clear public update and specific safety actions.

Agree. People need facts and process, not silence. The school should confirm what is being investigated.

Also important to separate verified details from rumors so this does not spiral online.

The death threat part is extremely serious. Hoping law enforcement and campus security are already involved.

This is where official reporting and support channels need to be visible and easy to access.
