John Cena found himself geeking out over BTS during a recent appearance on “The Late Late Show with James Corden.”
During the show’s episode on Wednesday, the WWE star-turned-actor was a guest along with actress January Jones.
When Cena learned that Jones got to meet BTS during her last visit on the show, he gushed while expressing his love for the South Korean boy band.
“You are so lucky to be in that picture,” the 42-year-old said. “I tried out to be their bodyguard and I didn’t even make it.”
Like any certified member of the BTS ARMY, Cena has his favorite members, RM and J-Hope.

Explaining his admiration for the K-pop supergroup, Cena went on:
“I became interested in the fact that they are a Korean pop band and they were the first Korean pop band to actually connect everybody throughout the world. They have fans throughout the world, so, being in live entertainment, I was, like, ‘Wow! That’s interesting. How do they do this?’
“Then I began listening to their music and listen to the message they send to their fans, and it’s one of self-love and self-reflection and being confident in yourself even though you may be different. So not only is their choreography and the development of personalities and the entertainment that they put on spectacular, young people are also listening to their music, and they are sending a good message through their music, and I think that’s really cool when you have popularity and you choose to use your voice for something good. I think that’s a plus.”
