Jimmy O. Yang will join the stellar cast of Netflix’s highly anticipated TV series “Space Force” launching on May 29.

 
The “Silicon Valley” actor, stand-up comedian, and “How to American” author plays Dr. Chan Kaifang alongside Steve Carell, John Malkovich, Ben Schwartz, Lisa Kudrow and more.
“Space Force” is a comedy touching on the grand scheme of “creating a sixth branch of the armed services.”
Under Netflix’s synopsis, it reads, A four-star general begrudgingly teams up with an eccentric scientist to get the U.S. military’s newest agency — Space Force — ready for lift-off.
Fans are quick to claim that “Space Force” is Netflix’s replacement for the widely successful 2005 series “The Office,” with speculation that it will move over to NBC’s own upcoming streaming service, Peacock, according to Polygon.
With the series on its way, Yang also celebrates the release of his debut comedy special “Good Deal” on Amazon.
It’s what he calls “10 years in the making, in the clips he provides on his Instagram. The comedian covers topics like being mistaken for Ken Jeong or Ali Wong, HGTV and realistic expectations as an adult, and how it’s uncommon to say “I love you” in an Asian household.
