Jay Park has made a sizable donation to aid in the efforts of fighting the bushfires in Australia.
In a tweet posted on Monday, the Korean American rapper revealed that he donated $30,000 to the New South Wales Rural Fire Service.
Park, who is set to visit New Zealand and Australia for his Sexy 4Eva world tour next week, also noted that he will instruct his label AOMG to donate as well.
“Im donating 30k to [NSW Rural Fire Service]. im gonna tell aomg to do the same…hopefully it helps somewhat. pray for Australia and see u soon,” he wrote.
To date, the flames have destroyed millions of acres of land in the country, killing nearly half a billion animals and displacing thousands of people.
Over 20 people have lost their lives in the fires that are still burning in many areas, reports CNN.
In a statement, Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison revealed that the country needs $1.39 billion to help rebuild communities affected by the fires.
