A stray tabby cat called Go-chan, and a local black kitty named Ken-chan have been constantly trying to enter the Onomichi City Museum of Art in Hiroshima Prefecture but were always kept at bay by the security guards.

These attempts usually end up in hilarious standoffs that the museum documents on social media to the delight of the Japanese netizens.

In fact, the facility’s Twitter account has more pictures and videos of the persistent felines than posts about actual events taking place in the museum.
Netizens have noticed how the frequent interactions at the automatic doors have apparently developed into a form of affection between the cats and the guards standing on duty.
Unfortunately, that affection has somehow caused friction between the two cats who used to be fond of each other in the past.

As Soranews24 pointed out, Go-chan and Ken-chan have recently been observed to exhibit hostile behavior towards one another.

Followers of the museum’s Twitter account have quickly pinpointed the cause of the rift to be jealousy.

According to some, the two animals may have become so enamored with the guards that they are now competing for their affection.
“Ken-chan, Go-chan, don’t fight!” a netizen wrote.
“Maybe Ken-chan is jealous,” another wondered.
“Each one wants to have the guard all for himself,” wrote another.
“They’re fighting over the guard!” a commenter said.

Others are positive that the animosity between the two pals will soon pass as the guards have always kept the situation under control.
“The guard has to mediate between them now?! Maybe they’re fighting over him? Hearing him say ‘You have to get along!’ is so sweet!” a delighted follower noted.
“Thanks to the guard’s intervention, it looks like they might get along. They just love him!” another wrote.
