Japanese gravure idol Ami Kikuchi has become the poster girl for a Japanese weight loss company after going through a program with a fitness trainer.

Kikuchi, who was born in Hokkaido, Japan, took the four-month challenge from Rizap — a Japanese company that promotes nutrition and exercise, and is one of the fastest-growing fitness brands in the country — after being inspired to lose weight to prepare for her wedding day in 2018.
Through its personally-tailored training and diet regimens alongside a fitness trainer, Kikuchi, who is 5 feet and 4.5 inches, was able to transform her body from 60.2 kilograms (132.7 pounds) to 49.7 kilograms (109.6 pounds) over the course of just four months, according to PR Times as translated by SoraNews24.
After the successful program, the 28-year-old idol lost 10.5 kilograms (23.1 pounds) and dropped 20 centimeters (7.9 inches) off her waist as well as having reduced her body fat by 6.6%, the report noted.
As one of the fastest-growing fitness brands in Japan, it’s hard to not spot Rizap’s ads. According to SoraNews24, the company’s marketing campaigns often involve billboards and commercials showing “sad and frumpy before photos next to joyous, sexy after photos.”
