Koichi Matsumoto, president of popular Japanese masturbation aid company Tenga, recently revealed that he takes a hands-on approach when testing new products before their release.
Key details: Matsumoto, 56, talked about his approach during an interview with Japanese magazine Shin R25. A video of the interview was uploaded to YouTube on July 8.
During the interview, Matsumoto shared that he always tries Tenga’s new products before selling them, and at one point, he had to test 48 prototypes in a single night.
One time we had 48 prototypes, and the staff said, ‘President Matsumoto, we want to decide on which five to put into production by tomorrow morning.’ That was really hard to pull off,’” he recalled, according to SoraNews24.
How he pulls it off: According to Matsumoto, he performs product testing in the comfort of his own home. He shared that when he had to test 48 products in a single night, he started at around midnight and decided on the final five at around 5 a.m. He said he achieved this feat after “using medicine” but did not provide any further details.
His ideal world: Elsewhere in the interview, Matsumoto encouraged everyone to embrace sexual desire, saying, “Sexual desire isn’t a shameful thing. I want to tell everyone that it’s one of the joys of life. That’s the kind of world I want to make.”
