Japanese fans name ‘Detective Conan: The Bride of Halloween’ as top anime film of 2022

“Detective Conan: The Bride of Halloween” has been selected by Japanese fans as the top anime film of 2022.
Japanese website AnimeAnime.jp polled their readers between Dec. 2 and Dec. 13, garnering responses from 313 participants, of whom 26.8% identified as male and 71.9% as female. Out of the respondents, 40.3% were 19 and under, 15% were between 20 and 24, 12.5% were between 25 and 29, and 32.2% were over 30.
The Japanese fans’ top 10 anime films of the year are as follows:

- “Uta no Prince-sama: Maji Love ST☆RISH Tours”
- “The Quintessential Quintuplets Movie”
- “Mirage Queen Prefers Circus”
- “Suzume”
- “One Piece Film: Red”
- “Free!–the Final Stroke– the second volume”
- “Sword Art Online the Movie -Progressive- Scherzo of Deep Night”
- “Laid-Back Camp Movie”
- “That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime The Movie: Scarlet Bond”
The 25th installment of the “Detective Conan” franchise, “Detective Conan: The Bride of Halloween” was released in Japan on April 15. The film follows Conan, Ran, Kogoro and the Detective Boys as they attempt to ensure a safe wedding for Tsutomu and Christine on Halloween. However, the detectives must face bombings, kidnappings and their own dark pasts in order to succeed.
On Thursday, AnimeAnime released the results of their reader poll on the top TV anime of 2022, as determined by 8,271 participants (55.2% male and 42.5% female):
