Enako is a gorgeous Japanese cosplayer who earns about $2,000 per hour by flaunting her good looks while wearing mesmerizing outfits.
The 24-year-old, who has a massive social media following in Japan, revealed two years ago that her regular income was already over ¥1 million ($9,280) per month at the time.
In a recent interview with popular variety TV show “Downtown DX”, she explained that despite the difficulty of building a loyal fanbase, hers has nonetheless grown.
She noted that while there is a constant stream of fresh faces doing cosplay, her earning power hasn’t decreased despite the new competition.
During anime or other otaku-oriented events, she gets hired as a model at merchandise booths where she is able to attract lines of up to a thousand customers.
She also does public photo modeling sessions, which can lure hundreds of photographers signing up to take her photos.
Just by doing these and other various cosplay activities, Enako claims she was able to earn over ¥10 million ($90,900) in December alone.
According to Soranews24, the earnings are largely due to huge events like the winter edition of Comiket, Japan’s largest otaku gathering.
As her popularity has gone beyond cosplay events, Enako has also conquered the virtual space by joining live streaming services.
Using the popular local streaming app Live.me, she started streaming two live video chat sessions this month, which she found to be quite lucrative.
Similar to streaming platforms such as Twitch in the United States, patrons watching her can make donations to Enako during chat sessions.
Through her Live.me ventures, she revealed that she was able to make up to ¥200,000 ($1,856) an hour due to her generous viewers.
Aside from these donations, Enako also uses her platform to sell some personal merchandise, including a full-size huggy pillow cover featuring her image, which enjoyed brisk sales.
