Japanese Cosplayer Shocks the Internet After Posting Before and After Makeup Photos

A Japanese cosplayer’s makeup skills have astounded many netizens after she released her before-and-after photos online.
Itawasa, who goes by the Twitter handle @itws_a, has got the Japanese cosplay community buzzing after unveiling the bare face underneath her “Idolmaster” character.
Many praised Itawasa for such a magical transformation, with some commending her for her confidence to bare it all to the public, reports Soranews24.
According to Itawasa, the photo of her on the left was taken by her mother as she was having a cup of coffee in the morning. She had just woken up and was finishing her pre-makeup skincare routine.
“It’s so rare to see a cosplayer without makeup! I have nothing but praise for her,” a commenter wrote.
“I always thought I didn’t have the looks to cosplay but this has given me the confidence to give it a try. Thank you!” another noted.
“Omg her makeup-free skin is gorgeous! What’s her secret?” a netizen wondered.

Itawasa stated that her followers increased after sharing her photo that has now sparked the “#レイヤーのオンとオフ” (“Cosplayer On/Off”), in which other cosplayers are sharing their own transformation photos.
