K-pop girl group IVE is on a roll after kicking off their world tour and dropping teasers for their comeback this weekend.
Debut world tour: The sextet, composed of Yujin, Wonyoung, Liz, Gaeul, Rei and Leeseo, launched their world tour “Show What I Have” in Seoul on Saturday. The two-day event came days before their October comeback, which is set for Friday.
“Show What I Have” is IVE’s first world tour since they debuted in late 2021. “Today and yesterday, our dream of holding a world tour solo concert has become a reality,” Wonyoung told fans, as per The Korea Times.
Yujin explained the tour’s title to The Korea Herald, saying, “We received a lot of love with our debut. We felt so grateful, and at the same time, some people questioned whether we could continue to bring something new to the table. The title is our answer to that question.”
New comeback: On Friday, IVE will return with their first EP, “I’ve Mine.” So far, the group has released music videos for “Either Way” and “Off The Record,” two of its three title tracks.
The group recently dropped the teaser for the music video of “Baddie,” which appears to be the album’s main dance track. Concept photos showcasing the members in streetwear were released on Tuesday.
What fans are saying: IVE fans, who are officially called DIVEs, are taking delight in the group’s musical growth. Many took notice of the contrasts between the new title tracks.
“With their current three title tracks, I wonder what their next comeback [is] gonna sound like cos [sic] these three are so different from one another,” one YouTube user wrote. “I LOVE IT.”
“I can tell this is going to be an amazing comeback,” another commented. “‘Either Way’ and ‘Off The Record’ have already slayed.”
