Itzy teases new comeback album ‘Checkmate’ and first world tour

K-pop girl group Itzy dropped a teaser image today detailing their upcoming July comeback and first world tour starting in August.

K-pop girl group Itzy dropped a teaser image today detailing their upcoming July comeback and first world tour starting in August. 
The JYP Entertainment girl group will release new mini-album “Checkmate” on July 15 at 1 p.m. KST. Album teaser content in the form of photos and videos will arrive later this month, and track lists and music video teasers will be revealed in July.

Then the five-member girl group will kick their tour off with a two-night concert in Seoul on Aug. 6. They will then visit eight cities across the U.S. during the months of October and November, starting in Los Angeles on Oct. 26 and concluding in New York City on Nov. 13. JYP Entertainment has said more tour stops will be revealed in the near future. 
Itzy’s last album, “Crazy in Love,” with the title track music video “Loco” were released late last year. With “Crazy in Love,” Itzy became the third Korean girl group to debut at No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Album Sales chart. They also made a music video for another track on their album, “Swipe.” Their latest music video is the Japanese single “Voltage.”
