A lavish wedding between a couple from two of India’s richest families features a three-day pre-wedding party, the attendance of several Bollywood stars, and a private concert by one of the biggest singers in the world.
The star-studded event included a performance from Beyoncé on Sunday night, and the appearance of several Bollywood stars, including Priyanka Chopra, who got married last week to Nick Jonas.
Beyoncé took to the stage for the sangeet, an evening of music and dance included in the pre-wedding party.

The couple’s engagement, recently held at the luxury Villa D’Este hotel on Lake Como in Italy, featured a private performance by singer John Legend.
Even the wedding invitation is extra luxurious, featuring necklaces and precious stones stacked in a two-tier floral box, valued at $4,236. Meanwhile, India’s top designers have been tapped to dress the wedding party.
Festivities highlighted by song, dance and pre-wedding rituals began this weekend in the desert city of Udaipur, Reuters reports (via AsiaOne).
“The event will have many visitors from abroad, so customs and immigration counters have been set up at the airport and will remain active for the next five days,” a source from the airport was quoted as saying.
Over 100 chartered flights carrying guests from around the world have been landing in Udaipur’s airport since Friday.
Wedding guests even have an exclusive access to an app which maps out the activities, including a private concert by Beyoncé. Former U.S. Bill and Hillary Clinton are among the most notable guests on the list of attendees.
The upcoming wedding, which will feature a plethora of designer jewelry and clothes, made headlines in the local media as the union of India’s most influential families.
Ambani, the chairman of Reliance Industries, has an estimated net worth of $47 billion. Meanwhile, Piramal’s family has businesses in industries such as pharmaceuticals and real estate.
As a wedding gift, the Piramals reportedly gave the couple a 50,000-square-foot home by the coast in Mumbai.
