Here’s the Most Common Jobs Worked by Immigrants in Every U.S. State

This map shows the most widely held jobs by immigrants in each state. Business Insider accumulated data from the American Community Survey, which is conducted annually by the U.S. Census Bureau. They examined answers from respondents regarding where they were born and what occupations they held.
Using responses assembled by the Minnesota Population Center’s Integrated Public Use Microdata Series program from 2013, they created a map showing the most commonly held occupation among individuals born outside the United States.
